The Center for Bio-Medical Communication (CBC) is an independent continuing medical education (CME) provider that develops fair and balanced educational programs for physicians, often with the support of pharmaceutical industry funding. CBC is an industry-aware CME provider that takes great pride in the integrity and appropriateness of its programming. Its goal is to ensure scientific accuracy, clinical relevance, and OIG, FDA, PhRMA, and ACCME compliance in all of its activities.

With 20 years of experience delivering ACCME-certified educational programs, CBC utilizes its scientific expertise to accurately meet the educational objectives of CME and non–CME-certified educational programs. CBC's editorial team of scientists has experience covering a broad range of therapeutic areas, and its wide knowledge of international venues ensures implementation of meetings and events that most appropriately suit the needs of the program.

CBC runs several established 1- to 5-day stand-alone clinical update and board review courses, supported by tuition and grants from multiple commercial supporters.

Further industry-supported CME activities include stand-alone meetings, advisory boards, satellite symposia, clinical consensus reports, "rapid reporters," on-line enduring activities, and workshops

The PosterMaze™ is an innovative modular, multiple-use exhibit unique to PAREXEL, which can be adapted to any size – from table top to full size. In order to extend the reach of its educational material, the PosterMaze is accompanied by a CME-certified CD-ROM.

CBC sets up and manages Foundations dedicated to fostering education and encouraging innovation. Current foundations include:

The Berlex Foundation – reproductive medicine

    Cancer Education Consortium – oncology

American Herpes Foundation – herpes virus-related diseases
